Sarun SornSarun Sorn is Programme Director. He is involved with Nomad since 2000, first as a Field Team Assistant, and later as a Coordinator. His main roles and responsibilities today include leading the Cambodian team, for (a) day-to-day direction of field activities including building capacity of Bunong and Khmer staff; (b) coordination with Cambodian government institutions and local partners, and (c) certain technical areas and methodology.
Sorya PuchSorya Puch is Finance Manager. He is involved with Nomad RSI since 2000 and gradually took in charge administration, finance and resources.
John Lowrie joined Nomad RSI in April 2010, as a General Co-ordinator. His brief includes assisting in the “localization” of the Cambodia Programme, and towards this end the new local “capacity-building” project was approved. John has worked in Cambodia since 1998 with international and local NGOs, in community development and human rights in project design, management and fundraising.
Nicolas SavajolNicolas Savajol is the Medicinal Plants Project Manager. He has worked in Mondulkiri with Nomad RSI in 2003 and 2004 on Artemisia annua cultivation project. After finishing his study in rural development, he came back to Mondulkiri in 2008 to lead a study on mosquito repellent. In 2009 he took over the project on the Medicinal Plants. He is also working with John Lowrie on the design of new projects.
Uk Soeng started with Nomad in 2008. He is currently a Health Education Project Manager. He is now the first-level field team leader working closely with Sarun with planning activities, staff management and project implementation. Uk’s experience prior to joining Nomad is invaluable in the Capacity-Building project started in late 2010.
Brigitte Nikles started to work for Nomad RSI in late 2007 and carried out anthropological research related to mother and child health issues. Since 2010 she is responsible for setting up the Mondulkiri Resource & Documentation Centre (MRDC) in Sen Monorom.
Vanny Toun is an Assistant to the Medicinal Plant Project since 2009. He started with Nomad RSI as a research assistant on a study on the impact of medicinal plants decrease in 2 communities.
John Sam, Assistant on the Medicinal Plant project and Health Educator, is involved with Nomad RSI since 2002. He is in charge of the garden development and of community facilitation. He also supports the health projects thanks to his long experience with malaria education.
Kosol Chan, Health Educator, started working for Nomad in 2007. He was a guard in the beginning but he rapidly integrated with the field team for the Community Malaria Education Project. Since that time he has gained experience in health education and community facilitation.
Vanny Chay is Health Educator since 2010.
Sinet Som is Health Educator and Administrative Assistant since 2010. She is also a literature teacher in O’reang middle school.
Rotana Suon, taking his first tentative steps in Mondulkri, joined Nomad RSI in late 2010 to train staff/volunteers, and villagers on Community Medicinal Garden Committees or self-help groups, in the Capacity-Building project leading to a “Bunong Community Based Organisation”. Rotana is an experienced Community Development Facilitator.
Yong Lim is English Teacher since 2010.
Bunthy Chey works as a MRDC librarian and assistant. She collects resources related to Mondulkiri, classify those resources, cover and prepare books, welcome and guide visitors on how to use the library database.
Oen Chang is MRDC librarian and Nomad assistant since 2010. He collects resources related to Mondulkiri, classifies those resources, covers and prepares books, welcomes and guides visitors how to use the library database. Besides that, he is assigned with administrative work at the Nomad office.
Sophanna “Ten” Yong contributes to the projects logistics and work as a driver for field related activities. He is involved with Nomad RSI since 2002.
Pallet Seang started working with Nomad RSI as a Village Health Worker in 2002. He is now at the Nomad office, receiving visitors, fixing equipements, and helping with the medicinal plant garden.
Rith Moen is a guard since 2011. He receives visitors, fix equipement and help with the medicinal plant garden.
Ma KorbMa Korb is taking care of the office since 2007.
